My personal opinion

In my opinion "Slam" is a really good and interesting book. The story is mostly gripping and for people in our age helpful because of themes like love, pregnancy and relationships. Maybe someone can find similarities with Sam or Alicia. The language was relatively easy because you can translate many unknown words through the context.
