Nick Horby was born in the year 1957 on 17th of april in Redhill/ Great Britain. Actually he´s one of the most important writers of pop literature. He studied at the famous Cambridge university english language.After this he was an english teacher especially for immigrants. Since 1992 he´s just writing books.

Rufus Wainwright

When I´ve read,that Alicia called her son "Rufus",I can´t understand why she did something like this! The child will be punished his whole life.Maybe in school the other kids will anger him.But it was more understandable,when Sam told us,it was because of the singer Rufus Wainwright,who sang during his birth in the radio. So I looked for him and found out,that he is a Canadian-US-American singer and songwriter. He is one of two children in a family of musicians.His parents were also very successful: Loundon Wainwright III and Kate McGarrigle,who died last year in january.

Alicia and Sam had sex again and suddenly Andrea came in and saw them. I don't understand why she got that upset. Shew as really up in arms. I think there's no problem if they have sex again if they use a contraceptive (what they did). I think she overdoes her reaction...

I think the end isn't very good. I've always hoped they would be a couple in the end but now both, Alicia and Sam, have a new boyfriend or girlfriend. But the good point is that they keep in touch and that they're still friends. I think that's important for Rufus for his whole life. What do you think about the ending of the book?
